This native of Grand Coteau, LA., discovered his musical abilities in elementary school. He then played in the local Catholic Church located in the heart of Grand Coteau.

A relative of his found an old squeeze box in the attic and gave it to Jude. He picked it up, dusted it off, held it with a firm grip and instituted a sound that fascinated him.

He started displaying his soulful vocals with the Buckwheat Zydeco Band, as well as the Zydeco Blues Band inc., and later began his professional career as Jude Taylor and His Burning Flames Zydeco Band.


Jude is a soulful Rock 'n Roll, R&B, and Zydeco performer who captures the heart of anyone. He plays the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, New Orleans Riverboats, Houston, Atlanta, Florida, New Jersey, Maryland, Philadelphia and British Columbia, just to name a few.

Jude Taylor and His Burning Flames is a collaboration of superb sounds, which compare to Clifton Chenier and The Buckwheat Zydeco Band.
